The past is never far from the present at Fanshawe Pioneer Village,
London’s #1 historical attraction. Founded in 1956 by the Upper Thames
River Conservation Authority, Fanshawe Pioneer Village is one of the

What the Village is About
Fanshawe Pioneer Village provides big and tall visitors with a
unique look at life long ago in rural Canada. Exhibits focus
specifically on the development of Westminster, London, North
Dorchester, Delaware, West Nissouri, Lobo and Middlesex County during
the 19th century. Customers of London’s Big and Tall Men’s Clothing
store will encounter exhibits concerning the founding and development
of the City of London, as well as the initial development of farms,
crossroads and towns in the city’s vicinity.
Participate in One of These Special Events
Fanshawe Pioneer Village proudly hosts a number of exciting events
every year. These range from Community Appreciation Weekends and
History Camps, to holiday dinners and harvest festivals. Two of
Fanshawe Pioneer Village’s most popular events are the Haunted Village
Hayrides during October and the Dickens’ Dinner during December.

offerings.
Plan Your Visit to the Village
Customer’s of London’s Big and Tall Clothing Store can visit
Fanshawe Pioneer Village from Victoria Day Weekend through
Thanksgiving. Hours of operation are from 10am to 4:30pm, Tuesdays
through Sundays (also open holiday Mondays). The Village is only open
in the winter for pre-booked school programs and ticketed events.
Customers of London’s Big and Tall Men’s Clothing store can expect to
pay $5 admission for adults, $4 for students/seniors and $3 for
children ages 3-12. Family passes (valid for two adults and two
children) are also available for $15.
Don’t Forget to Stop at the Denfield General Store
A visit to Fanshawe Pioneer Village wouldn’t be complete without a
stop at the Denfield General Store. This historical building served as
the general store and post office for the community of Denfield during
the years of 1877 through 1952. Today, customers of London’s Big and
Tall Men’s Clothing store will find everything from children’s toys to
period reproductions inside this beautiful two-story building.
